Water Environment Federation unveils new web site for WEFTEC 2006
April 18, 2006

WEFTEC (www.weftec.org) is the Water Environment Federation's annual meeting. Throughout the years, WEFTEC has not only grown in the size of exhibits and technical sessions, but has become the world's premiere water quality technical exhibition and conference. In 2005, WEFTEC in Washington, D.C. experienced a phenomenal year. A record breaking number of abstracts were received which resulted in 111 technical sessions and 25 workshops - the most educational opportunities ever presented at WEFTEC. The conference and exhibition broke its all-time attendance record with over 18,000 attendees. WEFTEC.05 also surpassed all previous years by hosting over 900 exhibiting companies with an exhibition floor encompassing more than 200,000 net square feet of exhibit space.

With the tremendous growth and interest in the event WEF needed a way to more easily update the content on the WEFTEC web site to keep exhibitors, speakers and attendees informed about the event. WEF selected Cobalt to implement Microsoft Content Management Server, an enterprise-grade web site content management tool, and to integrate with their TIMSS association management system, from TMA Resources (www.tmaresources.com). WEF choose Cobalt as their partner for this project after the successful implementation of a similar project for WEF's main association web site in 2005 (www.wef.org).
