National Beer Wholesalers launches new web site built on Microsoft CMS
April 20, 2006

The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA - www.nbwa.org), was founded in 1938 as a trade association for the nation's beer distributors. The purpose of NBWA is to provide leadership which enhances the independent malt beverage distribution industry; to advocate before government and the public on behalf of its members; to encourage the responsible consumption of beer; and to provide programs and services that will enhance members' efficiency and effectiveness.

NBWA was looking to upgrade its existing web site content management solution with a more flexible tool. At the same time they were looking to utilize some more sophisticated templates and rework the integration with their association management system - IMPak from ISSI (www.issimpak.com).

For this project Cobalt implemented Microsoft Content Management Server, an enterprise-grade web site content management system, MondoSearch (www.mondosoft.com), a full-featured web site search toolset and wrote custom code for integration with IMPak. Web site functionality includes a comprehensive permission structure for web site content based on member data from IMPak, member profile updates, company profile updates, meetings registration, dynamic membership directories, and newsletters . Online advocacy is provided via integration with Vocus (www.vocus.com).
