The Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA -(www.chpa-info.org), founded in 1881, is a member-based association representing the leading manufacturers and distributors of nonprescription, over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and nutritional supplements. Many CHPA member products provide millions of Americans with safe, effective, and convenient therapies for the treatment and prevention of many common ailments and diseases.
CHPA recently implemented a new association management system - Protech CRM for Members (www.ptassoc.com) and was looking to develop sophisticated integration between that system and their web site. In addition, CHPA decided that it would also be beneficial to implement a web site content management solution to ease the burden of managing their web site.
For this project Cobalt implemented Microsoft Content Management Server, an enterprise-grade web site content management system, MondoSearch (www.mondosoft.com), a full-featured web site search toolset and wrote custom code for integration with Protech CRM for Members. Web site functionality includes permission levels for web site content based on member data from the AMS, member profile updates, meetings registration, membership directories and newsletters.
